Luke — branding and marketing agency

Brand Identity Design

Logo & Visual Identity Design

A logo has to work beyond a presentation slide: on a phone, on packaging and in the everyday material your team produces. Luke designs logos as part of a connected visual identity, with typography, colour and imagery working together. The aim is a recognisable system your business can use consistently, not a collection of unrelated design files.

The right fit

A scope built around your business.

For businesses launching a new brand, refreshing a dated identity, or bringing inconsistent website, packaging and social assets together.

What we can include

  • Logo and logotype design
  • Typography and colour system
  • Visual language and imagery direction
  • Agreed identity applications
  • Brand usage guidelines

Deliverables and responsibilities are confirmed in your tailored proposal.

01

Design from a clear creative direction

We review your offer, audience and existing brand equity before developing the identity. A useful brief explains what the brand should communicate and where it will appear. Concepts are evaluated against that brief, rather than chosen on personal taste alone. We look at distinctiveness, clarity at small sizes and how the direction supports the wider business. Existing strategy can be used as an input, or strategy work can precede design.

02

Build a system, not just a mark

The identity includes the relationships between logo, type, colour, layout and imagery. A social post and a website do not need identical compositions, but they should feel like the same brand. We test the visual direction on agreed real applications so practical issues become visible before handover. Your scope determines which assets are produced: packaging, launch collateral and digital templates should be specified rather than assumed.

03

Make the handover usable

Brand guidelines explain how to apply the identity, including logo use, colour and typography. The point is to help internal teams and other suppliers make consistent decisions after the project ends. We agree the file requirements and intended applications during scoping. Where an existing mark is being refreshed, we consider recognisable elements worth retaining and plan the change across the touchpoints that matter first.

Your questions

Before we begin.

Can you refresh our logo without replacing it completely?

Yes. We review the equity in the existing identity and the problems it needs to solve. A refinement may be appropriate when the core mark is still recognisable and relevant.

Do identity projects include guidelines?

Our identity projects include guidelines covering logo use, colour, typography and agreed applications. The depth and application list are confirmed in the proposal.

Does logo design include trademark clearance?

Design work is not a substitute for legal trademark advice. If registration or clearance is required, arrange the appropriate legal checks before committing to a final identity.
