Retargeting & Conversion Funnels
Not every visitor is ready to enquire or buy on a first visit. Luke plans retargeting and conversion-focused journeys around what an interested person needs next: more context, a relevant reminder or an easier path to action. The work links campaign messages with landing-page decisions so returning traffic does not encounter the same unresolved friction.

- Retargeting audience planning
- Stage-specific campaign messages
- Landing-page and CTA recommendations
- Conversion measurement and testing plan
Deliverables and responsibilities are confirmed in your tailored proposal.
Identify where the journey loses relevance
We review the path from ad or search visit to the intended action. An unclear offer, mismatched landing page or difficult form can interrupt that journey. More reminders will not solve every problem. Available analytics and feedback help distinguish stages needing better explanation from stages needing less friction. We define the conversion and any intermediate actions so the plan is based on an actual customer journey rather than a generic funnel diagram.
Give returning visitors a useful message
A product viewer and a person who has already enquired may need different messages. Retargeting plans consider the relevant audience, destination and exclusions where the platform and available data allow them. Creative should offer a reason to reconsider, not simply repeat a vague brand statement. Audience size, consent, platform restrictions and tracking quality all affect feasibility. We do not assume every website has enough usable traffic to support a separate retargeting campaign.
Test the destination as well as the ad
Conversion work can involve clearer headings, stronger offer explanations, appropriate proof or a simpler enquiry path. We prioritise changes based on the observed problem and the traffic available for evaluation. Small data samples can produce misleading conclusions, so we report uncertainty rather than calling every movement a winner. The scope defines whether Luke implements landing-page changes or provides recommendations to your existing team.
Your questions
Before we begin.
Can retargeting work for a new website?
It depends on usable audience size, platform requirements and consent. A new site with limited traffic may first need a stronger acquisition campaign rather than a separate retargeting plan.
Is conversion optimisation just changing button colours?
No. Offer clarity, message match, trust, form friction and the wider journey often matter more. We start with the observed problem and a testable change.
Does this include rebuilding the website?
Not automatically. Recommendations, landing-page implementation and a broader website rebuild are different scopes, agreed in the proposal.
